I must admit in all my years of playing EVE that I've learned something very important about the personalty profiles of people. We all have a "Physical Reality Profile" and we all have a "Virtual Reality Profile". It is my belief at this time that our " "Virtual Reality Profile" is our true profile even in the physical reality. For the most part, if your a vindictive ******* in the virtual, that's honestly who you are in physical reality..... however you wear a mask and obey society's laws (while law abiding people are watching) in order to not get locked up.... and most of these "true assholes" keep their physical mouths shut because they don't want to get their teeth knocked out.
I read the entire tread... I saw nothing positive, yet people who simply desire to be negative and striving to tear down something that truly aims to help humanity. I forgive you.......
So let me put myself out there.... My name is Nathan Newsome, I'm 31 years of age. I've been married for 10 years and have three wonderful children. I've been an active EVE supporter for many years. In 2012 "The Mittani" decided it would be a bright idea to cross the line and encourage his alliance to give out the personal information of another EVE player.... Now what did CCP do over this event after "The Wis" had an untold amount of prank call harassment, untold amount of packages in the mail... and any form of contact you can think of in which the Goons and every ******* who thinks it's ok to encourage another human being to kill himself....... EVEN after moral EVE players signed a EVE petition with over 100k signatures to have "The Mittani" and all of his accounts removed from EVE.... he got a slap on the wrist and banned for 30-days we hear. What's this called??? It's called power has privilege.... of course EVE isn't going to ban the account of an alliance leader who has over 10,000 supporters...... because it effects CCP's real world wallet. So everything went quiet..... and "The Wis" is to this date still receiving harassment from vindictive human beings.......
I "Admiral Fox" was the first CEO of "The Wis"..... so you can picture my distain in watching "The Mittani" with his display of such joy in encouraging the harassment of another human being... aka "Cyber Bullying".
SO...... I went on with my life just as powerless as every other moral person in EVE against such vindictive giants that I hear are real good at having their own CCP connections in having certain EVE server connection mishaps occur anytime anyone attempts to kick Goons out of their space.
Corruption.... I learned alot about the nature of this word in my last year in uniform serving my country. I witnessed first hand how corruption will allow an inmate (a human being) to die in the Federal Prison System while covering up the real details of how he died.. details covered up by corrupt ranking goverment officials who do what they have to do to ensure no one sees the dirt on their hands, which would then lead to them getting locked up themselves..... I witnessed the corruption of an attempted cover up of the real details behind why a fellow officer (my friend) had died. I gave up my badge by contacting every god dame news agency with the real facts behind the officers death to force the goverment to give that officer's wife and son the support they rightfully deserved...... Honor... most forget what this word means, but even the Goons display this for their own community members... and for this, I can salute them for being humans beings at least to their own.... So here I am now.... I started my own company to help CCP's retention efforts and human relations. This involves taking on all forms of virtual harassment that is NOT warranted and any form of cyber-bullying that is unchallenged. For those who are not aware (and for those who illegally rip CCP off in any way you can behind scenes to put some change in your pocket) ..... YES, I was successful in requesting CCP's permission to collect funds in a legal manner from corp members who wish to support this company's cause... a cause to counter all the bullshit the vindictive assholes are doing that is truly damaging EVE and CCP as a company in general.
When you strive to do things for a good cause, and you go through the correct channels... and your driven by a meaningful mission to make a difference that matters.... Maintain your focus. You'll have your supporters, and you'll have your enemies..... Simply maintain course an do the right thing for others.
For all those who support the long term life span of EVE ONLINE..... Help me take a stand to counter all of the vindictive bullshit, the harassment, the unchallenged corruption, and the cyber bulling that CCP truly needs help pushing back to get their company through the next 10-years.
I support CCP.... I support and thank the staff of CCP for creating and maintaining a virtual world that gives a great many of us a place to go.. to create.... to truly feel like we are making a difference in the lives of others in a social and emotional manner that means more then just playing game.
